Sunday Night time Owls: Proper-wing speak radio announcers launch "stolen elections" for 4 years

On the same day Shapiro raved about clothes, radio host Mark Levin spoke about the American Revolution and the colonialists' refusal to pay taxes to the British and their decision to drink the tea the British wanted from them. The later coercive laws that forced the British to pay for the refund of sunken tea had contemporary parallels. On November 12th, Levin had solemnly said, "We are mayors canceling Thanksgiving," or "You will not meet in groups of ten in your own homes" or "You will not go to church". Trump (who later canceled his own Thanksgiving trip to Mar-a-Lago) had fallen a few rungs in the lineup (he reappears during the show), so his place surrendered to the war against Thanksgiving. The media, the beloved omnipresent fallback enemy, Levin explained, had joined the tyrants. The law had capitulated too much; Requests for hand washing and masks, as well as social distancing were superfluous; The delay would not come from them, but from "real" science. That "real" science was the science supported by Donald Trump.

Levin's "Thanksgiving Resistance" and "Masking as Surrender" are terribly dangerous recipes, but not new ones. Throughout the duration of the Covid-19 pandemic, these right-wing talk show junk suppliers have portrayed the common sense health rules as a politically motivated denial of individual freedom. After a lost election that is at best unlikely to actually tip over, it is now an even more refined feat of resistance to the tyranny of newly elected leaders to throw oneself on the path of Covid-19, even if it means dying to oneself.
