Rob Schneider hilariously mocks Gavin Newsom for his hypocrisy on lockdowns

Hollywood star Rob Schneider went on Twitter Friday to mock California Democratic governor Gavin Newsom for his hypocrisy over coronavirus bans.

Schneider mocks Newsom

"I'm making a list of people who might be less concerned with keeping track of Gavin Newsom's stay-at-home order. So far I have: 1. Gavin Newsom," Schneider tweeted alongside a photo of Newsom that he shared with around one last month A dozen friends attended a dinner party at the chic French laundry restaurant in Napa wine country.

This was in direct violation of Newsom's strict COVID-19 lockdown orders, which the people of California are expected to follow at all times.

Newsom later apologized at a COVID-19 press conference, saying he needs to practice what he preaches, adding that the group at the party was "bigger than I expected".

"I made a serious mistake," said Newsom, according to the KMPH. "Instead of sitting down, I should have got up and walked back and got in my car and headed to my house."

"The spirit of what I preach all along has been contradicted and I must own it," added the Democrat. “And so I want to apologize to you because I have to preach and practice. Don't just preach and don't practice. "

Schneider has beaten Newsom up before

This wasn't the first time Schneider, a former Saturday Night Live cast member, called Newsom a hypocrite.

"Dear emperor Gavin Newsom, ”Schneider tweeted in October. "During our 3-family limit this Thanksgiving Day, can I throw a piece of turkey out of the window for her if my aunt comes by? We promise NOT to sing … we will all just whisper: "PLEASE RECALL DIPSHIT GAVIN NEWSON!"

Schneider was referring to Newsom's strict COVID-19 Thanksgiving instructions, which limited the number of people who could congregate in private homes.

Newsom is just one of many Democratic leaders caught violating their own COVID-19 rules recently. "Rules for you but not for me", indeed.
