Most of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic occurred in certain regions of the country. The hardest hit states were full of Democrats, with New York, Washington state and New Jersey being hardest hit.
The second wave, which is happening now, has hit every state in the Union. However, the states most affected at the moment are usually red states, where lawmakers have been less enthusiastic about implementing public safety guidelines.
And the results are always worse than at the beginning of the year. 2,706 people died from the virus on Thursday. There are 101,000 people hospitalized with COVID, a record for the country. Experts believe the death toll will rise until much of the country is vaccinated.
However, Tucker Carlson believes these predictions are only meant to shut down schools and cancel Christmas. The Fox presenter told his audience on Thursday:
"You hear me? 250,000 Americans dead. You hear me?" A quarter of a million people. That's a lot of people. In fact, that's more than the total number of fighting deaths during the entire American Civil War – which, incidentally, lasted 4 years – put in a single month. Imagine having a Gettysburg every day of the week. "
Carlson continued: "You can't imagine it, it's too horrible. In the first 30 days, we would lose the equivalent of Reno. Scottsdale next month. Then Lubbock, then Buffalo. Pretty soon nobody would be in America anymore. & # 39; Do you hear me? Come on man! Do as you were told! Cancel Christmas! & # 39; ”
